Date :  5 June 2011

How to get there :
Travel time : 45 mins from Bukit Jalil
Head on to MRR2 and exit to Taman Connaught/Cheras. Once you turn left after the exit, turn right at the next traffic lights.
This will take you pass Giant/McD on the right and BHP on the left.
After BHP keep right and follow the road (there are 3 forks, go on the right fork)
The road will curve to the left where you will see a Petronas, just go straight until the tol.
After tol take the first left exit and follow the road till a traffic lights (right side is a police block)
Turn left and follow this road and look out for the sign Sg Lepuh, Lopo, Lepok, Lepoh (the various spelling for the place) on the left (it is about 25 mins drive from the traffic lights)
There are car parks on the left and right side of the road

At the base :
Proper shower and toilet facilities available for use at a fee

Trekking time and terrain :
On moderate speed with some photography - 1 hour 30 mins, down 1 hours 15 mins
Terrain rating 3/10
Description of terrain :
Gentle slopes with one incline of about 50 degrees for 10 minutes.
No river crossings until the waterfall (when there is a river crossing, there is a bridge on it)
Clear trail with one major fork

At the waterfall :
A small pool about 6 feet deep (depth of the water varies depending on weather) that one can swim in together with the fishes. Can climb up on the rocks to get to the upper portion of the fall.

Durian in season... one month later would be good to eat?

Look out for this tree and this is where the major fork is.... once you see this tree follow the path on the right

Always a nice contrast

A day out with family and buddies

Date : 4 June 2011

Had a great destressing time at Look Out Point, Ampang with family and buddies!
Here are some pics to share..... we were blessed with wonderful weather.
Sunset was beautiful on that day..... I was surprised at the results of my own little camera!

The key is to arrive at the place early, get good seats (for the car and for ourselves!) and wait for the sun to set. On weekends the restaurants open at 5pm.

The pictures below are all taken from 5.30pm till 8pm

My personal fav!
